    Racquets 10,000th member

Racquets Fitness Centre 10,000th member - a celebration of the Racquets familyDaniel Lucas, from Haddenham, signed up for a membership of Racquets on the website. Little did he know that he would become the centre of attention as he is officially the 10,000th member to join the club.

Daniel was welcomed for his induction by his fitness instructor but also the club’s oldest member – 83 year old Tom Gilmore, the lady who laid the bricks – Pam Preston (nee Collins) and the club’s youngest member Zane Finch.

Of course, the whole Racquets team welcomed Daniel to the club to ensure that he, like many others before him, will belong.

The club atmosphere and quality of staff provides the environment in which all our members become part of the Racquets family and are provided with all the encouragement they need to attain their goals.

Racquets’ manager Simon Martin is very proud of the club’s achievements over the years which include a Guinness World record, numerous world ranked squash and racketball players, massive charity events and challenges for many great causes and the provision of a real sense of community for everyone who works or plays at the club.

We are looking forward to our usual Christmas Eve family event where many past and current members and all their family get together and enjoy the spirit of Xmas.

2014 is building to be a very positive year for the club. We are looking forward to the exterior of the building being improved very soon with the help of a community grant from 21st Century Thame. We have laid the foundations for redecoration and refurbishment of many parts of the interior of the club too in the New Year.
