Preparing for 3 peaks challenge

So the team of 9 climbers and 1 driver are now in their last preparations for the 3 peaks challenge.

We leave on Friday for a 10 hour drive up to Scotland.

Overnight in a B&B.

Up very early to start the hike up Ben Nevis – to a height of 4,409 ft above sea level.

Follow that with a drive to Scaffell Pike in the Lake District.  That’ll be 3,209 ft above sea level.

Then off to Wales to Snowdon at 3,560 ft above sea level.

Then home.

We’ve prepared our bodies as much as our lives have allowed us !

Now we’re preparing water, food, snacks, boots, clothes, suncream, first aid box, survival blankets – who knows what the weather is going to be up there !

We’re doing it in aid of Child Bereavement UK – a charity set up by one of our members to help families and especially children who lose loved ones.
