New Yoga class starting 17th April 2015
From next Friday 17th April starting at 6pm for an hour you can experience Vinyasa Flow yoga with Kate France.
Kate France …..
I discovered yoga over 10 years ago when I went to classes with my mum at Bledlow village hall. I loved the classes so much but it wasn’t until last year when I spent 6 months in India that I realised Yoga was far more than stretching and giggling with my mum in the back row.
I studied philosophy at Leeds University and also completed a psychotherapy course at Regents University London, so my interest in understanding myself and life has encouraged my direction towards yoga. Whilst in India I also followed a 10 day silent vipassana meditation retreat which was one of the hardest things I have ever done, however it’s helped my internal focus immensely and made me realise the fundamental importance of yoga.
Yoga is a way of life and goes far beyond what is practiced on the mat. It can help you calm and balance the body and mind helps maintain a peaceful and healthy life style.
Having travelled extensively in India and the Far East, encountering many inspirational yoga teachers, I completed a 200 hour teacher training programme in Ashtanga Vinyasa Flow in Goa earlier this year at Sampoorna Yoga. I both practice and teach yin (calm) and yang (fiery) yoga which encourages balance as they oppose each other in style and technique.
My yoga journey is really just beginning and I hope that over the years I will be even more motivated by teachers and students so we can share the gift of yoga together.
