Interclub junior social June 2015

On 28th June Racquets hosted an interclub junior social match.

Teams of 5 came from Henley, Oxford and Abingdon and competed against 9 players from Racquets.

The teams were of all different standards, so the Racquets team varied with the opponents and Will John did a great job of ensuring that all the players had highly competitive games.

For many, these were the first matches against players from other clubs.  This is usually a daunting experience but the atmosphere was friendly and supportive so it was a great introduction to playing competitively.

Our team had some really good matches and it gave all the players a real taste of match atmosphere that I am sure can only encourage them to play more.

It was a pleasure to meet you and we look forward to future events between the Oxfordshire clubs.
