  • Seniors Classes at Racquets

    At Racquets we offer classes specifically for seniors.

    Our popular Healthy Hearts circuit class is a fun and sociable way to exercise with a tea and coffee and a chat after! It runs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 11am-11:45am

    A class where it is essential to chat and workout to get back that mobility that you might have lost during lockdown.

    Movement and exercise to music.

    All exercises are low impact and your gym instructor will guide you to your level.

    The circuits include body weight exercises like push ups against the wall, low step ups, knee raises and weights exercises like shoulder press, biceps curl, bent over row and some fun exercises thrown in too.  Claire and Kat will help you get to know what you can and can’t do, taking into account any dodgy knees, backs, shoulders or whatever you feel is stopping you from moving.  Claire will help you find ways to join in whether you need to sit for some exercises, hold on to the bar for support or just check your form out in the mirrors.

    Come along and do what you can and see how your strength and mobility improves over the weeks.

     

    We also run a Senior Racket Mix-About class on Tuesdays 10am-11am and Thursdays 9:40am-10:40am.

    These are Racketball and Table Tennis sessions lead by one of our coaches where you will be given the opportunity to have a sociable game, along with a tea, coffee and chat afterwards.

     

    All of our senior sessions are included in our monthly off-peak membership for £36 or annually for £360 per year. Alternatively you can pay as you go at £6.50 per time.
